Description
A CROWD FAVORITE!
This acrylic work is part of a juxtaposition series. In this piece, artist Jenae Rubin paints the main character in Yehuda Pen’s 1914 painting Watchmaker in a Starbucks cafe adding an “old-time” sugar dispenser! Did you notice the watch on his wrist symbolizing his profession? Does this make you smile? Jenae hopes it does!
The Yiddish (not Hebrew) newspaper is titled “Today”; the article is encouraging Russian workers to unite and fight against the tyranny of the times.
You and your house guests will kvell over this picture. It’s the overwhelming crowd favorite!
