For Jews in mourning, it is traditional to say daily Kaddish in a minyan, which is a group of 10 or more persons. This virtual age is calling forth new paradigms to support the mourner when the old forms of in-person meetings just aren’t possible.

In this time of deep, collective mourning, join Rabbi Geela Rayzel Raphael for a Kaddish Minyan in the month of February. This program is in honor of Rabbi Geela Rayzel’s mother, Natalie Levison Robinson, Nechama Leah bat Elke v’chayyim.

This minyan will take place every evening (except Fridays) in the month of February, from 9 – 9:30 pm EST (6 – 6:30 pm PST). All who mourn, who are honoring yahrtzeits, or who wish to participate in the mitzvah of making a minyan, are invited to join this important program.  Register here – select any days in which you are able to participate in the minyan. Please know that by registering, you are committing to attend and participate in that evening’s minyan. If you are unable to attend an evening for which you have registered, please follow the instructions in your email to open up that slot to another attendee.

If you would like to express your gratitude for this type of program, please feel free to make a donation at www.aleph.org/donate.  If you have any questions about this program, or would like to see it extended beyond the month of February, please reach out to ALEPH: Alliance for Jewish Renewal Events Manager, Stephanie, at [email protected].

TAO is excited to introduce our “Challah Your Name” recognition opportunity.  If there’s someone whom you admire, someone who needs a little special attention, or someone that you want to give a special shout out to for something nice they did or for just being kind and loving and there for you, you can shine the light on them at Shabbat Services and in our newsletter with a minimum $36 donation. With everything that goes on around us during this challenging time, we realize the importance of recognizing those we care about for a variety of reasons. If you want to help shine the light, just click here: CHALLAH and make your donation and contact the office or Renee or Nira to give the details.  Looking forward to Challahing your name in the near future.
