Embracing signs and signals that enhance our spiritual awareness

I invite you to navigate back in time, opening a portal of exploration that will deepen our spiritual awareness.  We will examine some verses and characters from the parshah, mixed with stories of everyday life that will enhance our own life adventures.  Let’s step into the transporter together and travel.

Leon was ordained as a Rabbi, Maggid, Baal ha Bracha (master of the blessing).  He is a Board Certified Chaplain engaged in hospital and hospice Chaplaincy for over 30 years. His book, “Anatomy of A Tear” is a compilation of spiritual stories is an educational tool for clergy of all religions. In the words of Reb Zalman z’l, “Leon Olenick managed to integrate all the learning to be a Rabbi and Chaplain with the heart. This book is a heart opener for clergy and their work and for people who seek out clergy for help. “In story after story, I was moved to tears and compassion.”

Please join Leon for Kabbalat Shabbat on Friday January 8th where he will offer a dvar Torah on parsha Shemot. He will explore the story and Moses and how he liberated klal Yisrael, and the role of our feminine heroes in the story. Reb Leon will also address our isolation of covid and our yearning for liberation. There will be time for comments and dialogue.
