About Michael Alpert
Michael was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1970. His parents were immigrants to Canada from Israel. His father was born in Istanbul, Turkey, and his mother in Basra, Iraq, spawning his lifelong passion for history. He moved here with his family in 1979. This perennial student, studied diverse subjects throughout his college career, including architecture, geography, history, environmental science, GIS and urban planning. He has been working as a Planner for the City of Miramar for 23 years, is married to Claudia Gill, and loves being a part of TAO.
