God comes to Moses on Mt. Horeb, and speaks to him from the burning bush. Moses is to go to Pharoah and free God’s people. Moses asks for God’s name, and God says, “Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh,” “I Am That I Am.”
You are born of the God who is called “I Am That I Am.” When you say positive statements using the words “I am,” such as “I am intelligent, I am worth it, I am beautiful, I am perfect as I am,” then God’s image and the sacredness of all of creation are affirmed in you. (Creativity, p. 267)

Moses says to the Lord, “I am not a man of words….I am slow of speech and of a slow tongue.”

Moses tells B’nai Yisrael that God will rescue them from their slavery, but they will not listen.
Notice where your sense of self is today. Is it in the insecurity, looking for outside sources to build a secure, stable structure around you? Or is it in the freedom to be self-responsible and empowered to live in the creative, dynamic flow of life?
